MIDI Author
We are seeking a MIDI Author to translate audio recordings to specific content representations using MIDI data.
A successful candidate will be able to understand and decipher individual musical performances within a song, and have technical experience with a DAW (digital audio workstation) to efficiently create and manipulate MIDI data; always seeking ways to improve work efficiency without sacrificing consistency.

What You'll Do
- You will be assigned sets of project tasks involving MIDI authoring or QA, with deadlines given for each task.
- You will be working within a pipeline of other authors who will collectively create, review and revise all necessary elements for each delivered project.
In this role, you will
- Learn specific authoring guidelines and understand how they apply to assigned authoring tasks.
- Work with mixed audio files and create MIDI data representations of the music, or of other project aspects, which conform to guidelines.
- Respond to feedback and provide revisions of authored content as necessary.
- Provide feedback to other authors when QA tasks are assigned.
- Seek to improve work efficiency with the use of additional tools and scripts.
What we're looking for
- A musical background, either in music theory or performance.
- Experience working with MIDI, and the basic ability to transcribe music.
- Familiarity with the use of a DAW, preferably REAPER.
- Ability to work in a timely manner, prioritize assigned tasks, and plan out workloads to meet required deadlines.
- A strong attention to detail.
- A passion for rhythm gaming.
